✨ My Story with the Mukhis

My story with the Mukhi family goes way back — a little over ten years now.

Our first encounter was at their Beirut Souks store. A dear friend of mine was getting married, and I wanted to find her something special — something customized, personal, and full of meaning.

I don’t quite remember how I first heard of them (some stories are better left a mystery), but that day marked the beginning of something lasting. I walked into the store to see if they could bring my idea to life, and while I was there, a mutual friend happened to walk in. We kept bumping into each other at the store over time, and soon enough, conversations began, and a genuine connection was formed.

Since that day, I’ve always dropped by — sometimes for gifts, sometimes just for me — and over the years, that bond only grew stronger. Funny enough I’m had family heirlooms that come from their father’s store Ashoka (Hi Baba Mukhi😊) Eventually, my role evolved from loyal customer to a Mukhi muse of sorts. You might even spot me on their page here and there: ear model, hand model, foot model, sometimes even bust model (haha!).

I’m still not sure if they kept me around for my charm or for my chocolate almond cake — I used to be a baker (still am at heart), and they fell in love with it instantly. Let’s just say I often showed up bearing gifts — and they were always sweet ones.

Other than the fact that they’re my friends, I genuinely love their pieces — they have purpose, and they speak.

I’m not someone who feels the need to tell a story through my jewelry, but somehow their creations do that effortlessly.

I’ve always believed that more is more; I love layering, mixing, and combining pieces until they start reflecting who I am. Each one adds a different layer to my identity, and most of them have now become like a second skin — always with me, always part of me.
